Perhaps you have been embarrassed by dark, thick, excessive hair for as long as you can remember. Maybe you have noticed new hairs popping up due to PCOS or painful and hard-to-reach hairs due to hidradenitis suppurativa diagnosis or because of hormonal changes accompanying the aging process. Whatever the case, our electrologists at Beverly Hills Hair Free Dallas offer the only treatment recognized by the FDA for permanently removing unwanted hair. Additionally, our treatments are appropriate for women in North Texas and beyond who may not be candidates for hair reduction with laser therapy.
What is your approach to hair removal?
Our approach is an innovative and appealing “twist” on standard electrolysis technologies and techniques. Led by an innovator in the electrolysis space, Alana Dzurek, our team treats all skin types, skin tones, and hair colors safely and effectively with “multi-probe galvanic electrolysis.”
How does this compare to traditional electrolysis?
Traditional electrolysis involves applying DC (direct electric current) through a single probe placed in each hair follicle. The current triggers a chemical reaction within the follicle to precisely destroy the stem cells inside. With our approach, anywhere from 16 to 32 hair-sized probes are inserted within the hair follicles to efficiently destroy hairs from the inside out (by targeting the stem cells). Hairs cannot regrow from the treated follicles.
What are the benefits of your approach?
We can permanently eliminate unwanted hair 30% to 40% faster than conventional electrolysis due to our ability to treat multiple follicles with several probes instead of treating a single follicle with one probe. This benefit also minimizes the time spent at our office in treatment, which supports a more comfortable and pleasant experience. Our technique allows you to be hair-free for life in just 18 to 24 months—no ongoing touch-ups are required!
How does it compare to other methods – like lasers?
For starters, lasers are not recognized as a permanent solution for unwanted hair. Furthermore, they inhibit hair growth by targeting the melanin or pigment that gives our skin, hair, and eyes its color. This design can be quite limiting for patients with light, blonde, or gray hair and melanated skin. The laser cannot effectively distinguish between skin and hair melanin, disqualifying many candidates for this hair removal therapy. Or, it would be risky to undergo treatment due to potential complications such as scarring and persistent pigment-related problems. Lastly, laser hair removal is not recommended for women with hormonal imbalances because it is associated with an increased risk of paradoxical hypertrichosis or the acceleration of hair growth. So, these women could end up with even more hair after treatment!
What areas can you treat?
We can treat any area of the face and body, including:
- Unibrow & brow reshaping
- Upper, & lower lip
- Along the chin and jawline
- The “sideburns”
- Hairline (for reshaping)
- Armpits
- Back of neck

- Chest
- Tummy
- Back

Electrolysis is also the recommended treatment for women with hair-related complications due to PCOS, menopause, hidradenitis suppurativa, and cancer reconstruction surgery. Also, since this treatment does not rely on radiofrequency energy or heating from laser light energy, multi-probe galvanic electrolysis is tolerated comparatively well, and the risks of thermal damage are avoided. We also use electrologist-formulated calm balm to support healing and recovery further.
